Scott Burdick
Back To TopI was born in Newport, Vermont on July 3rd 1976, and have resided in Orleans County ever since. I have lived in Brownington pretty much all of my life. After graduating high school, I passed on the opportunity of attending college and began working at Ethan Allen Operations in Orleans in October of 1994. I started out as a laborer in the Rough Mill department machining furniture parts, and later on I moved up the ladder and assumed the position of System Operator. As System Operator my duties consisted of operating the IBM AS400 mainframe. I was responsible for all data processing for the Orleans plant as well as the plant in Andover, Maine. I remained a dedicated employee of Ethan Allen Operations for just short of 12 years before accepting an employment offer from Wild Branch Solutions. I currently offer hardware/software support to numerous schools in the Northeast Kingdom.
I have been an active member of the Orleans Fire Department since July of 1995. I currently hold the positions of 1st Captain and Treasurer. I have completed many types of training including Ice Water Rescue, Swift Water Rescue, vehicle extrication, flammable gas control, basic first aid, CPR/AED, Firefighter I, etc. Being a firefighter is one of the small ways that I try to give back to the community.

Perry Burnell
Back To TopI was born in Burlington Vermont in August of 1976 and raised on 200 beautiful acres in Hyde Park. I attended the Hyde Park Elementary School and then Lamoille Union High School. I studied education in college, worked at Peoples Academy in Morrisville for four years and spent 2 years on the board of the Hyde Park Elementary School.
I began working for Wild Branch Solutions in the fall of 2005 and have been thrilled with the experience. My knowledge of computers and networks has increased exponentially, and I love the ever-changing nature of the work While I still manage to fit in some integration and professional development, my focus these days is the implementation of PowerSchool (a very powerful student information system) in the Orleans Essex North Supervisory Union. This task is demanding and constant, but puts to good use my background in education and my problem-solving skills. Not to mention the opportunity to work closely with so many different people dedicated to quality public education - I love my job.

Jeff Coburn
Back To TopI am a native of the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, having grown up in Orleans. I graduated Orleans Elementary in 1989, Lake Region UHS in 1993, and Notre Dame College in 1997, where I received a degree in English Education. After graduating college, I worked for half a year in the Lake Region Union High School computer lab, a position that led me to join WildBranch Solutions in the Spring of 1998.
My primary role is in the schools is hardware/software support, classroom integration, and technology professional development, but I also assists with grant writing and technology planning. Besides my technology experience, I am certified to teach Language Arts in Vermont. In my ever-disappearing spare time, I like to play basketball, go for walks, write (short stories and poetry), read, and watch movies with my wife. Most of all, I like to spend time with my family. Being a school tech is a great job, but being a dad is an even better calling.
Jeffrey Everett
Back To TopI have been using and working with computers since 1979; starting in the PLATO lab at the University of Illinois. I have been involved in education since I received my Illinois Teachers Certification in 1987.
I began Wild Branch Solutions in 1993, one year after moving to Vermont. It quickly became clear that there was a very important need to fill for schools and Information Technology. Many schools were struggling with computers as a new tool that held a great deal of promise, but with very little information in how to implement and use them effectively in instruction. Schools were struggling with supporting equipment and teachers use of it, implementing networks, and developing funding sources to build their computing environments.
I began supporting one school and quickly came to serve a growing number in the area. Though I still keep abreast of the technology and do some direct support, my focus now is on assisting schools with developing a vision, technology planning, and implementation, integration and transformation.

Maria Everett
Back To TopI too am a native Northeasten Vermonter. I grew up in Brownington, attended Lake Region Union High School, and have lived here ever since. In 1996 I joined WBS and have held a wide variety of roles with the company. I started out with managing the servers at up to 7 sites, moved on to doing site tech at those schools and now spend most of my time at Hardwick Elementary. I drive a great little Ford Probe, I used to work construction and carry 100 lb bags of cement up step ladders, and I love to laugh.

Geof Gonter
Back To TopI was born and raised in Northeastern Ohio. Before graduating from Ohio State in 1979, I was dairy farmer, military policeman, ward attendant in an institution for the mentally challenged, and a pizza business manager I finally decided to get my degree in Forest Products technology. In 1983, while on a school board, I was introduced to personal computers and they became an immediate serious habit. During that time I worked with students and staff in the introduction of computers and technology in education. I became involved with the Macintosh platform in 1986, and in 1997 I organized the first Vermont Macintosh Jamboree, a three-year event that brought educators from 5 states and Canada together to learn more about using computers as tools in education.until 2004, when I joined Wild Branch Solutions. My primary roles are hardware/software support and classroom integration.
In 2004, I decided to put my talents to work in a different direction and looked for work in the computer field, centering on my experience with education. I became an employee of Wild Branch in February of 2004. Since then, I have learned and taught much about the use of computers in the classroom, the troubleshooting and repair of the computers we support, and the maintaining of equipment to insure quality use. I enjoy working with the students and staff, of the schools I team with, to provide them with a positive technology experience. Working with the One-to-One pilot project has provided a great challenge and learning experience the last two years. That experience has been particularly rewarding. I look forward to seeing where this project leads the schools in the Supervisory Unions and Vermont in the future.
Brent McCoy
Back To TopI came to Wild Branch in January of 2008, and have since been on the fast track to becoming a full-fledged technician and e-learning coordinator. I came in with a few websites under my belt, and I am currently working on the WBS and OCSU websites. I am also a professional entertainer, and my bio is below.
Brent Eden McCoy grew up in Northeastern Vermont with a bunch of trees and cows. He graduated from Bates College with a degree in the Studio Art, and has since worked internationally as a performer, director and teacher. Highlights include the AEMI Happy Tiandu International Clown Festival, the Dundas International Busker's Festival, the Vermont Festival of Fools, and his father's 50th birthday party. Brent has studied clowning and eccentric performance with the Celebration Barn, The Odd Company, Gould & Stearns, and Creatively Independent. He currently lives on a dirt road in Vermont, and is really happy that you've read this far.

Darla McWherter
Back To TopI grew up in Dallas and East Texas, and have worked with computers intensively since the 1980s. In 1999, I moved with my husband and four children to Vermont. Wanting to meet people in the community, I took a position at the elementary school in my hometown of Hardwick as a library assistant. A year later I moved into the position of Administrative Assistant to Special Education and Medicaid Clerk. I remained there until the fall of 2002 when I came back to my first love of computers and joined Jeff Everett’s team at Wild Branch Solutions.
